I think it's in the PD shaders.

Suppose shave + haircut can't do something like this? I've never tried it.

You mean like cotton balls-type cotton, loose-knit fabric-type cotton, or fine-weave dressshirt-type cotton? Cottn blankets? Cotton towels? Peter Cottontail? Cmon now, you need to give us a little more info.
