View Full Version : Differences between combustion, inferno, etc.
:banghead: Hi, I'm an After Effects 5.5 or 6 user; I just want to know the differences between combustion, inferno, flint and flame and which of those is more similar to After Effects.

The major difference is that Combustion is software 2d composite program while FFI (Flint, Flame & Inferno) is a hardware related compositing system which comes with a computer when you buy it. Another difference is the price, Combustion is similar to AE while with FFI you would have to sell your parents house to buy it.
Combustion and AE are each others competition so they are similar except for a few things. Combustion has a nice particle system and a Node editing mode. A lot of AE plugins will work in Combustion and even in Digital Fusion.
