Hi there fusioneers,

I'm working on a very intricate composite. But, I need some help on the construction of some of the elements. As part of a progress meter that i've created, i need to animate the text tool such that we have the numbers 'zero' moving to 'hundred' [ 0-100 ]. I know i can keyframe, but is there an easier method? I know i can do it easily in AE but the studio here doesn't have AE. Kindly advise.

Cheers,
Deano.

Hi deano,

You can do this easily with a Time Code modifier on the Text+ tool. Uncheck everything but seconds then use the Frames Per Second slider to adjust the speed. A setting of 3 fps will take 300 frames to reach 100. On the text tab under Advanced Font Controls deselect 'Use font defined kerning' to prevent the numbers from jumping. You can also adjust the Force Monospaced slider.

Thanks EricD, I actually did visit the Timecode modifier but didn't pay too much attention to it. Thats a nice way of working it out. Lateral thinking!!! Im out on a shoot right now but when i get back i'll be finishing the composite. Am glad there's a way to do this in fusion. Was just thinking of getting the AE plugin 'Numbers' to work via the AE plugin adapter in Fusion.:D The tip about the numbers jumping is cool. Never thought of that. Thanks once again buddy for all the help.

Cheers,
Deano
