Hi,
( I am not sure if is it the right place to post. Moderator, fell free to change it if you need it. )

I am working on this character for my own stuff (animation studies) and I decided to share with you.
Right now it is a XSI character but I am doing him to 3DMAX too.
It is really simple design and model but It has 2 Independents facial RIGS (just choose tho one that you like most and have fun).

And other features like this:
http://www.mrsolo.com/edgard/edgard_forum_ig.jpg

You can see how it works better on those videos:
Edgard - 640x400 - 5MB (http://www.mrsolo.com/edgard/demo_01_XVID_HD.avi)
Edgard - 320x200 - 2MB (http://www.mrsolo.com/edgard/demo_01_XVID_SH.avi)

You will need XVID to watch those videos, you can install it from this link:
Install XVID (http://www.mrsolo.com/tools/XviD_Install.exe)

I will add the edgard files soon, just checking right now...
Sorry about the bad english.... :(

I saw that you posted this on cg-char too. This looks like a very nice rig. Thank you so much for letting us use it. However did not post a download link on this site for the rig.

Thanks and keep up the good work :applause:

However did not post a download link on this site for the rig.
Ops... sorry about that...

Here you are.

Here is the link to download the Edgard XSI intire project.
It has 11MB and I really recomend that yo read the readme.html file. It has the Edagard setup instructions.

I didn´t test it yet. So if you find anything wrong just email me. I wil try to fix it.

Any suggestions or comments are really wellcome too.

Enjoy it!

Hi,

I've just started playing with your great model. ANd there are a few suggestions I would have for the next version or updates. Such as when you have more than one model in my scene I would like the synoptic view to register for each character. As it is now, it only seems to respond for one even though i have the second model selected when i bring up the synoptic view.

Also i would like to see the IK for the hands follow the body, rather than stick in space. That way you can animate ik but still have to subtle movements of the body follow through in the hands rather than trying to compensate it.

That's about it for now. Great work!

p.s.
it would also be nice to have some rotation limits put on. I know that for cartoon stuff its great to break the bones, but with no limits the bones in the arms ( in fk) are rotating all over the place. I would be easier to keep track of them.
:) thanks
