Wow, theres a lot of incredible work on here(spent the last couple of days going through this thread). Ive only recently made the switch from 3d to 2d(finally got a tablet a couple weeks ago), but threads like this really inspire me. Maybe its ousnds bad, I but I want to thank the people who've posted here, its helped me a lot, and given me a nice idea of the different styles....

Hello all, first post here. I recently decided to put some serious time into improving my skills and my understanding of the use of photoshop for more painting-like pieces. I've been using the program for years, but mostly in a monochrome or coloring linework fashion. My grasp of color interaction is tenuous at best, and I want to learn to get better at it. My only real previous experience drawing straight into photoshop was small lineart pieces, maybe with quick color jobs.

SO, I present my first speedpaint ever. I wanted to concentrate on a more experimental (for me) monochrome color scheme to practice more subtle shading and highlights, and more effective use of the brushes as well. Any critiques are gratefully accepted.
