this is a character i did for a school project a few weeks back
done in max, 6040 tris. c&c welcome.

Very nice, its a natural looking character with dress that hangs well, good proportions and a very distinct form that matches the subject of the design. The one thing that I think could be improved is the material of skin on the characters face, at the moment it looks a bit flat and plastic. Fixing this would put the icing on the cake.

a little supplementary work should be put into the the maps in order to make this character *very* good. as far as i see, it is well modeled, with style and (it seems) historic accuracy which is rare enough in these forums to be pointed out. I'm totally fond of this model, hope to see more of it (some poses, a wiremesh, a new map?)

yeah, I did a lot of research looking up all kinds of anything spanish and what not..
honestly, I'd run out of time when it was due, so I know the texture could use a bit more work, I wanted to post it on here before I finished it though, to get some more opinions of what I should do to it.

finally got around to making some changes...been busy with school.
6040 polys, 1x2048 diffuse, 1x512 spec 1x512 normal
I realize that I should have gone for a smaller diffuse map, but I'd made it at 2048 and all the seams showed up when I shrunk it :P
will have a picture of the highres mesh up soon.

here's the highres mesh I made the normal map from.
I also colored it and baked the diffuse map off at the same time in max7
incredibly useful tool. I realize that I could have donoe more with it, but it was a school assignment and the deadline loomed.

My ancestors where much more buff then that :D.
Nice modeling, it has a clean natural flow, me likes.
