CGTalk - rotate, scale, move axis handles problem?

View Full Version : rotate, scale, move axis handles problem?

Currently experiencing a problem which I cannot get rid of, having little experience with the actual layout options of Maya. Basically when selecting verts to scale etc.. the handles are greyed out in all but the side view? Except the move tool which show the handles fine in the side view but without arrow heads in the other views? This is of course most annoying.

quite a few people had this problem about a month or two ago. a search will bring the original thread up, but the answer for me was to upgrade to 6.01 and upgrade my video drivers again. it seemed that just upgrading maya, even though I had the newest video drivers, wasnt good enough. I had to install the video drivers again after the 6.01 upgrade. hope that helps.

had wondered about the video drivers, but since they are a 22mb download I can't get to them at the moment....I can change the panel to front orside layout and use the handles, but thats plain silly!
