VERY nice work, excellent job, I definatley like these "PowerPuff Girls" compared to the cartoon version. One thing that struck me odd about there faces (took a minute, I couldn't peg it) is they don't have any highlights in thier eyes, makes thier eyes look kind of flat.

Are you going to do teh Monkey boy too? or whatever he is?:scream:

Hey, Wacom Knight, thanks :) . Actually, they do have highlights in the eyes, unfortunatelly at 800x600 resolution, many details are lost .
Monkeywho?! :) I donīt know the cartoon or itīs characters that well, only the little bits I watch when my nieces (2 and 3) come tumbling down into my Dungeon of Doom and start changing channels without asking whether I was listening to that show/movie/documentary  .

Yeah, jeroentje , youīre right, the Pink one has no breasts, I tried to draw her as more childish than the others (sheīs got no eyebrows :)), as I was trying to go for realism and show that not all kids evolve at the same rate during puberty . Bad idea, eh?! :)

EDIT: I just corrected Blossomīs flat chest to look more like her friendsī .

I think Wacom_Knight is referring to Mojo Jojo, the monkey villain in the TV series (and movie). Cool image BTW! They loose their cuteness all grown up though. Would be interesting if someone did them in their pre-teens.

Mojo Jojo, eh?! :)
I think the writers of that show have too much fun making up names: Buttercup, Bubbles, Blossom... :)
Youīre right about the pre-teen bit, theyīd look much more cute if they were drawn at an earlier age. Dang, why didnīt I think of it then?!

Jojodi, you too have a point, this drawing doesnīt fit the design of the Powerpuff Girls show at all. But the fun relies exactly in that, trying to extrapolate what those characters would look like, drawn in your own style.

To be honest, this whole thing began because I was trying to make a real-live version of the Jetson Family and I just couldnīt get past their dog (I hate dogs), so I decided to chose
another Cartoon Network show and by coincidence, my niece had the TV set on these 3 girls. It could be worse, imagine the horror if she had decided to watch Yamazaki on Panda Channel instead :) .....

Say, what is the name of the green costume girl? Buttercup right?

Anyway wouldn't she be great if she look angry or something... cause in the poster and the show, she is angry most of the time.:scream:

Hmm cool image though I would have to say I prefer the originals, even more so back when they were the whoopass girls (wonder why the changed the title from Craig's original lol)

Seriously though you guys should at least check out the film if not the TV show, Craig and Genndy Have hit it big time with their collaborative styles, I mean between the two of them, we have three of the biggest crtoon series in the US since the early ninteties probably, and they are really well written, and original. Love them can't get anough of them or Samurai Jack for that matter.

Just a warning the movie is a little slow, and goes overboard on a few scens, but the story the shots, the colours the BG's the 3D (except the metal globe) and designs all work wonderfully. Brilliant stuff.

Yeah, I just found out the green one is called Buttercup, but I didnīt know sheīs usually angry all the time; well, letīs consider then that she was just caught in one of those rare monets when sheīs happy :) .

Truth is Iīm not a Cartoon Netwrok kinda guy, so Iīve only began to discover the Powerpuff Girls a few days ago, Iīm more of an anime kinda guy (Gasaraki, Boggiepop Phantom, Outlaw Star :D ), having grown on a diet of Misterious Cities of Gold or Lensmen ;) .

I havenīt seen the movie on the shelves yet, but I saw it advertised some time ago, I think :) .Perhaps Iīll try it while I wait for Spirited Away to come out :) .

I love this picture because you drew the powerpuff girls in a realistic fine art/ comic book art style, something i've been thinking about doing my self! Looks very good! Now do the professor!:D
