OKay, I'm used to working in LightWave 3D and using realistic measurements for modelling and setting up scenes. However, even using the base 'metre' setting in my prefs, C4D doesn't seem happy working at small measurement levels (especially in conjunction with RealFlow 3 - the scale seems out of whack). Also, I see some professional-looking scenes where a car, for example, will be 100 metres long.

How do people work in C4D? Do you just ignore the scale, or do you use a different measurement system or what? Sorry if it's a dumb question.

Generally most people ignore the scale units and just work with the numbers. If I want to model an ipod, I woul measure it as 100mm high, so in c4d i would just type in 100. The letter at the end of the numbers is pretty irrelevant.

If you really want you can go to the preferences, then in the units section, define a smaller unit. You could use mm instead of metres.

Okay - that's what I figured. Thanks!
