Hey everyone,

I'm doing these little animation or a company that is going to use them on one of their automatic DJ's.

For this to work they need it compressed in MPEG1. But I think I don't have this compressor on my computer. So where can you download it and is it free? I'm not asking for illegal download, but simply if this compressor is available for free and if not, where it can be bought.

CHEERS!

MPEG1 is a pretty old standard now and there should be tons of free encoders on the web if you Google for them. You can always use commercial encoding software like Discreet Media Cleaner or Canopus ProCoder, but it shouldn't be necessary. You could try out some of these:

http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?qt=mpeg+encoder&tg=dl-20&search.x=0&search.y=0&search=+Go%21+

or try doing a search on Tucows.com and other shareware places.

This is a link to video encoders:

Depending on the format of your source video, you should be able to pick the appropriate one which is also freeware.
