The bump levels need to be the same in the differents ID's. So, you have to draw the maps in proportional sizes.

The idea is to creat, an alien enviroment, with anguished creatures. This anguish becames of their body form.

I have started modeling the creature with the polygonal tecnique (box and subdivision). I wish to create models with high level of detail, taking care with the mesh organization, to make easier the work of maping and rigging.

In the second step of the modeling, I used symmetry tool to mirror the other side of the creature, after increase some details of the face.

Hi there! You have most original concept man:) It's very interesting, but I'm not sure if this fits to the subject of the challenge. Maybe make those aliens painting some grand space opera events... like an exploding planet and some ships running away from the planet... or some shots from a battle... don't know, just thinking loudly...
good luck man!

Now I used symmetry tool again to mirror the body creature in the Y axis. Some details were increased in the body to enhance the shape.

I've decided to separate all parts of the body in diferents ID's. So I can map each one in planar mapping, and unwrap the uv's to paint in photoshop.

Now I'm using some bump material, a blend with mask to make reflective surfaces in determined areas.

The veins are bump maps, painted in photoshop.
