Welcome to the cgtalk sketch group.

We will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.

These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
* Ill post ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.

Good luck

-Roberto

Ganthu: Nice :-)

Here's my entry. It's been a long while since I've posted anything, so I'm trying to get back into the swing. Been practicing here and there. Hopefully I'll be able to submit more.

Ant? Hehehe.. it's actually a person bent over screaming. But I can see where you inferred that it's an ant.. the arms/hands aren't fully sketched out.

I love looking at these so much I finally decided it would be good for me to try some. Not an artist by any means, but I still couldn't help myself.

When I'm taking care of the problems revealed in the "My imaginary friend" (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?t=187310&page=1&pp=15) thread, I think I'm managing my anger quite nicely

Hehe, thanks! Yea I wasn't too careful about making it look like a super real monitor, as I probably couldn't have anyways. I haven't really done much sketching or drawing for a long time, so this & most of my future sketches will definitely have a 3rd graders touch to it.

What kind of Wacoms do all of you use? I was thinking about the Intuos3, but it's really expensive. Is the 6x8 too small? Thanks everyone.

Effortless|Supra, I don't know how big that 6x8 is but if it's A5, it's perfect. A6 could be a bit too small but can handle with and A4 is too large I would say (at least a lot spare space). I've got Wacom Graphire 3 A5 and this is just perfect, nothing more could I need.

...Intuos 6x9 for 5 years or more(no mouse use at all), and I have NO complaits what so ever. I have no regrets of leaving the mouse behind. On the contrary, my wirsts don't hurt and I can work endlessly w/o complaints. Hands down a most worthy investment. :bounce:. Can't live w/o it.
