hey i just acquired my copy of painter ix.

After installing, i ran the program and it seems all my colours are garbled so that they dont make any sense. I then installed the program on two of my other computers, it appears that the only one it worked perfectly on was the non nvidia graphics card. So i think this may be the cause of my troubles ?
I searched the net for ppl that have had similar/same problem, seems i havent found anyone or any patch update that can fix it ( i have tried updating drivers over n over ).

can anyone help me at all?

cheers in advance.

Make sure your desktop is 32 bit color. I had to learn this the hard way too.

No problem with Nvidia card. Many Painter users running on it.

The screen colors sometimes get changed when a new program is installed.

The blue/green garbled colors thing sometimes happens in the Painter interface when another new program is installed long after Painter was installed.

Fortunately, the fix is easy and quick.

thanx guys!
changing to 32 bit colour did the trick. It was just coincidental that my 2 nvidia cards were running 16 and my ati 32. :)
