hey, im new to df for some odd reason, df doesnt seem to read png sequences. I go import but I can only select one png and there is no option to import a sequence

i got a project due soon, if anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Check if DF understands the frame padding you're using, if it reads a single frame there is no reason to not to read a sequence, at least I like to think that ;)

Have you tried if your DF reads other image sequences than PNG? I use mainly TIFFs and it reads them as sequences just fine.

You also have to be pretty careful with the file naming conventions. DF doesn't understand alphabetical sequences (e.g. "image_a.png, image_b.png, image_c.png"), only numerical (e.g. "image_001.png, image_002.png, image_003.png") and the filenames have to be identical.

PNG support was added to Fusion in version 4.04c. Please make sure you are running the latest version of Fusion, (4.04e - released yesterday). If you are in fact running the most recent version of Fusion, check your naming convention to ensure that your file sequence consists of sequential numbers.

why don't you just convert your png to tiff ? vice versa is also possible after finishing the fusion work

I have been able to use PNG sequences before the 4.04c update. Aside from having the images in numbered sequence, I found that the image won't read through the merge tool unless it's set to an apply mode of something other than 'normal'. I found setting the apply mode to 'dissolve' worked just fine. Don't know why, but it worked.
