you know whats funny, I actually know how to SOLVE the rubiks cube. yea so I didn't figure the solution out myself but hey. I'm currently learning a better solution that should let me solve the cube in less than 30 seconds!

this is the link with the solution I am learning.
It takes you about 3 minutes to do the layer method?? Thats the solution I currently know and it always takes me a little less than two. mabye the methods we are using are slightly different?

thanks especially for not just showing the modeling of it, but also how you got to the materials and lighting results that you show in your final render. i know half the fun and learning comes from experimentation, but i wish more tutorials would go through the process from start to finish.

I'm a newbie to 3ds Max, and I found your tutorial very helpful. I think I made my colors a tad bit to dark. Anyways, thanks a ton! Here is what I got:

i just finished part IV but the rendering and lighting isn't that good as yours...so i will try to make it better..can this be because i haven't put a table under the cube?
Is it because the lighting cant bounce back on the cube? please some advice..
and a last question..as a supernoob like me..how do i put the image with the message?

I solved the cube once... but I tore a few of the stickers in the process, so I was unable to fool anybody.
Thanks for the tutorial. This nice and simple example may help my texturing and rendering.
