Dear God, if you happen to be an Academy of Art College student in San Francisco, you'd probably be VERY sick of this movie by now.

They played it for almost one week straight at our SGI/NT Lab's lounge.

One of the funniest movies though... when I watched it the first time, it was without sound, and as things go, if any media provokes laugher and emotion without utilizing sound itself, it's done its job well.

This is a must see. CG soccer all the way, baby!

Have you tried your local "chinatown" movie rental.... it probably already has it...

but the original was not presented by miramax.....

wack-(wak)
slang
1. (adj) bad; terrible; corny; uncool; stupid, and not as in 'stoopid fresh';
2. (adj) an eccentric person.

"Yo, my moms made me take my little brother to see Country Bears. That movie was wack, b,"

A friendly reminder that improper use of slang can seriously damage your street cred with the homies.

lmao

Many spoilers in the trailer though. And I strongly suggest renting it from your local chinatown video store. It's quite funny in cantonese... For example their "show" ;).

WOW!!

I saw the clip of the girl "parking" the car before and thought that it was very well done.

Sign me up for Shaolin soccer!!

(the movie, not the game...I'd be destroyed)

Shaolin Soccer will be coming to the West. Steven Chow is going to break into Hollywood with this movie. Expect to watch it on the big screen somewhere end of this year.

This new is reported on my local News on the TV sometime ago. Just to info you all. It is more awsome to watch it on the big screen, especially the sound effect.

So it already been screen in the cinema in the West? I thought it have not, since from the previous messages it seem that most watch it in DVD or VCD rather than in the cinema.

But that trailer was the worst piece of crap Ive seen in a long time! And a BIG SPOILER WARNING to all who havent seen the movie yet!!

Question: Does anyone know the difference between the "special version" and the normal version on the DVD??

Hiya,

I just saw it yesterday. 5th times... :) And still not bored, but I have some doubt. Will be the full movie on cinemas? I saw 2 version...

Unfortunatelly the english translation could not bring that original taste... :hmm:
There is a lot of reference to Bruce Lee and to other movies too, but sometimes it is hard to relate. At least for me, and I'm not thinking about "E.T. go home" joke... :)

I think the best effect is the first morph from young Evil (devil?) manager to old. 3don: how was it made? I'm no sure how it is made and I don't like this feeling... :D

One more thing: at the end there is a woman pushes her car to parking place... It wouldn't be a big deal to make it, but it is absolutely looks real! So, how about that?

-xyth

ps: I just saw the trailer. Okay, one more difference: the guy (goalkeeper) whos clothes flies off is naked in the original movie. It's more fun, I think. (But if it would be a woman, that wouldn't be fun, that would serious... :) )
The english voices are baaad... (Original kix grass!)
