CGTalk - Weighting Models

Alrighty - get yr heads around this one..

I have to evelope the proportional guide rig in Xsi 2.0.2 with a lovely little model. I understand the whole enveloping principle, but i can never seem to get it doing wat i want!

Ive had a play with the paintbrush tool in symmtery mode (f**king brilliant idea Avid..!) but watever i do, if I save the scene and reload it, the weighting goes back to normal?!

So..

Does anyone know, (or want to explain to me?!) of any good sites that have weighting tutorials for XSi in step by step, my mother could follow, stylee tutorials?!?!. I dont have the technical know-how in XSi to pull this off properly so I need exact instruction.

put the brush intensity to 0 and paint all your model, your envellope will comme back.
you have to freeze your envelope weight before saving and every thing will be ok
