View Full Version : MR Glare shader crashs MAX

I've enabled the Glare shader in Max 6 (deleting the "hidden" line from the lume.mi file as I read in the forum)
But everytime I drag the shader to the material editor MAX crashs.
Anyone else experienced this?
Any suggestions for solving it?

I had the same problem with 3D Max +SP1.
I just reinstalled 3D Max without ServicePack1 and it works for me fine.
I dont know if it works the same on every single pc, but try and see.

I didn't install any sp1 on my pc...
and btw, when reinstall max, do you remove it completely first or just install it again on the existing copy?
Check the syntax of the .mi file. Mental is mental about proper spacing.

Can you be a bit more specific regarding the syntax?
Can you post here the syntax as it apears in your lume.mi file?

Thanks Jeff but that's where the troubles started.
I followed the instruction on your site and it doesn't work.
Whenever I drag the Glare to the MatEditor Max crashs.
I'm using Max 6. Perhaps this solution is only for max 7?
Maybe you could email me your lume.mi file...
