View Full Version : Do software keys for XSI have a hardware lockout feature?

I am upgrading my motherboard, processor, and RAM next week, and I was wondering if I will have to re-submit a license key request with the new hardware in order to continue using the program. It will be nice if I don't need to. It is an academic version with a dongle.

you shouldn'thave to. i use my dongle on my laptop and desktop.

Correct, the license key is tied to the dongle. Just make sure you have a backup before you format your machine. Worst case worst you can always have licensing resend it to you.
