View Full Version : Glows not showing through glass

Im running into a strange issue in Cinema. Whenever I put an object, that has a glow setting on its texture, behind a pane of glass, the glow of the object does not show through the glass. Even though the glass texture has %100 transparency. Anyone know how I can resolve this?

Thanx much

Unless I'm mistaken (it's happened more times than I can count) material glow simply does not work behind transparencies. Nothing you can do about it. A workaround is to use visible lights instead (if possible of course... depends on what you're doing). Another solution is to go wild in post instead (standard solution for any and all rendering related problems)

Correct, glow does not work behind transparencies. It is a post effect that can not take transparencies or reflections correctly into account.

Ya could render the scene with the glass then just render the glow
layer the renders in a 2d app an ya have the render ya was after.
