hi mates,
each and everytime i come here i`m very impressed by your work but confused as well,,confused because i feel that i`m going in the wrong direction,,,may be it`s the geometrie of my wires,,,if so, could anyone please guide me on the right path,,,i`m waiting for your replies and an overall critik of the model....i also posted a quick light test and procedural of the model ,,no texture maps apart for the eyes.....just to play with a little bit,,it was done on lightwave 8 only..

hi dean080580,

very nice progress so far, i especially like the lips and strong jaw, they really help gives the strong characteristics of muscled character,

hm for the critique parts,

first thing is, i notice u're modelling directly from subpatch mode then push and pull points around as you go, not that it's wrong but i find it won't give a very nice predictable deformation (please someone correct me if i'm wrong), cause the shape might look correct but will most probably deform not so well because the necessary polygons are not there (this method of modelling indeed gives very light polygon cage but most of the times it's not enough).

i hope you understand what i'm trying to say...sorry for my bad english

keep updating and have fun :)

It's looking great so far, the Head is the best part.

What I see that needs work is the anatomy.

I would say that you should take a close look at some body builders and anatomy drawings for reference.

The abs need more detail and the serratus muscle is not there. It looks more like ribs than the muscle.

You could take a look at this little tutorial I made for how I model the serratus muscle.

It might help some. http://home.comcast.net/~gabe687/serratus-tut.dcr

Do you have a concept sketch for him?

Hi dean080580... I think your model is very nice and well done.. the face has a clean mesh!
anyway.. I could say the nose portion looks to narrow even if, man I looked at the textured model...
impressive, truly! It communicates disgust and disturbing things and moods but, from lucifer I do not wait less ;)

anatomy.. probably the pectorals seem a little different from what it could be expected.

more i cannot say because i'm not so founded in anatomy!
thanks for sharing!
