Hello,
I am in the process of an animation project. But I am trying to figure out a certain effect to add to it. One of the effects I would like to add to it is this streak halo glow. ^^

is there a possible to do this with Cinema 4D, BodyPaint 3D (R2), Maya, Bryce, or 3D Max? and if so, can someone point me in a direction in doing so? I would really appreciate any help! thankyou -trichi ^^

You could use a material with the glow channel, or use the glow post effect. Or add the effect in a proper compositing app like AE.

I'd play around with using a torus. Make a new material and enable the glow channel. You could also enable the luminance channel and crank the power down to say 10%

Another way is to have a whole lot of lights arranged around a spline. Mka ethem visible light. In fact on the last one I've made a tutorial that shows how to do it over at C4D Cafe which you may be interested in.

Hope this helps.
