I have seen many demo reels that feature a model rotating; and while its rotating it turns from a wireframe model into a shaded or textured model. I was wondering how you might render out the wireframe in maya? Thanks in advance

another thing to do is to take a high resoultion play blast of your scene/turntable/animation with wire frame on shaded on and then over lap the two using compositing software

here is my 0.2 cents;

if all your scenes are made with polygon, just use vector renderer to render the wireframe out. its faster, and with no hussle to set it up. the only catch tho, you have to change all of ur polygons normal into all hard, this way the vector will draw a line on that hard edges.

you know, every time I have tried that particuliar method the playblast will never be the right size. It always takes the size of the window, even when setting it to Render Globals or Custom. Anybody know why?

nurbsData -> TRUE NURBS curves and surfaces wireframe rendering.
polyData -> TRUE polygons wireframe rendering.
