Here's my second Painter project (probably my last--sheesh 14 hours to make an e-painting...). This is my son Brody when he was 18 months old.

I really like working in pastels, so I used the pastel brushes and oddly enough mixed it with water.

nice job, kids that age are extremely difficult to draw/paint, add in the fact that it has actually look like somebody specific. Whew!

The only thing I might suggest is sto simplify the background color scheme, it's kinda distracting. You could always slap it into photoshop and play with the background saturation (does Painter do that?) Probably but I don't know how...

I'm sure you're son will love seeing this someday.

Yeah, the background was an afterthought. As you can see, I did a newby mistake by not creating the background first. I know it's kind of cheezy, but I wanted a rainbow in there. You know 'Pot of Gold" thing. (after saying something like that I guess I'll be turning in my Man-card.)

Anyway, thanks for the comments Sleepless. I'll take your advice and desat the background.

My man card went out the window when the kids came.....you would never catch me doing our kid pics, they would turn out looking like miniature adults LOL.

Good job on this, leave the background if you like it, you don't have to make anybody happy but yourself.....
