Welcome to the cgtalk sketch group.

We will try to post one of these topics once a day for your enjoyment.

These are the rules:
* Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
* RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
* They can be done on any medium.
* If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
* Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
* The topics will be posted every day between 10:00 - 12:00 am US EST.
* The artist also has to post total length of time it took (Thanks Clanger for the idea) and program used.
* Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
* Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
* The topics will be picked at random from the list on this thread
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
*You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them). NEW RULE!
* Ill post ANOTHER thread to quantify and track WHO has participated the most on these threads.

Good luck

-Roberto

Ebola0001: Funny stuff.:)

Erilaz, if you're still having problems with image posting, might I suggest ImageShack (www.imageshack.us (http://www.imageshack.us).) You upload an image to their server, and they give you a URL back which can be pasted into a CGTalk reply. Seems to work very nicely.

edit: duh, didn't read the thread properly. Sorry for being redundant :)

Cheers,
V

Love the design thebigxer. Reminds me a lot of Jhonen Vasquez type robots, which is always cool!

"Jhonen Vasquez" Whos that? Ill have to check it out.

Its supposed to be 3 little kids and the two on the right have huge robots and there dressed uplike them. The kind on the left doesnt have a robot so he dressed up his dog. I didnt have any time to flush it out cause survivor was on

Anyone watch it by the way? It was awesome.

He's the guy who writes Squee and Johnny the Homicidal Maniac, plus creator of the cartoon show Invader Zim.

He's crazy. But in a good way.:D

The background in your image is really well done AHMED-3D. The use of lighting works well. Maybe a shadow under the probe would make it blend in a little better, but otherwise, great job!

EDIT: Oh by the way thebigxer, comparing your work to Vasquez is a compliment!:D

ps about 1/2 hr again... I think my first one was better! as far as colors/shading go, the second one was richer..i think
one way I learn by is to combine color with form is to apply those "brush strokes" photoshop filters over photographs and study it to get the hang of how to make an image look more defined as far as shading/colors go for different scenes. please note I'm still a learning newbie with only 2 weeks of graphic tablet experience :D

no time for a sketch from me today.. too much work to have a remotely good idea:banghead:

robinayles

RobertT - really fun idea...where can I get one of those? I have one that is a ballpoint pen that unscrews in the middle to reveal the flash drive...and another just plain old flash drive that looks kind of like a flattened bullet. That lipstick is a cool idea...maybe you should sell rights to the idea and get RICH!! :)

No time to comment on all...some really good ones today - Kelli where can I get one of those remotes? That would come in handy too!!

Hey Cyanid! Nice to see a familiar face. I'll be posting some more stuff at the other place soon ;)

Nice range of responses to the topic! No real surprise there though, as I've been following these sketch sessions for a while and have been consistently impressed by the many fine works posted here.

Another great choice is GPS locator. That technology is already available; a miniscule transmitor in the patient's garments enables accurate location verification virtually anywhere. I don't know if it works when the person is underground, like a subway train. Is great use of technology.
