I might add even if you downlod now, keep an eye on the maxon site, it won't be anytime right soon, but there should be an R8 demo poooping up not too long it would seem as the final rlease is in the fall, I would think it would come out in demo a little bit before, not too sure can't remeber how it worked or 6 and 7.

did they actually release an R7 demo? As I recall the last I looked it was still R6 a few months back...

I remeber using the demo back when it was released, because we were doing test renders to see if it was worth it for the school to upgrade. It was of course, though I didn't feel that many students would take advantage of GI rendering and cautstics they said yes, schools money not mine so what the heck.
