I'm pretty new to this whole thing, so I'm still going through tutorials. I found this tutorial that was cool. I liked the first one I did, as it's very in depth and easy to follow.
My problem is that the tutorial was written for Maya 2, and I'm using Maya 6 (we have it here at work).
Can someone help me out and help me figure out Lesson 5 from http://www.ckk.chalmers.se/tutorials/maya/Pages/Lesson5.html
Specifically, I'm trying to do what is here below and couldn't find an analogous way to do it. I looked through the help files and the tutorials that pertained, but none did exactly this or explained it.
Open up the texture view editor by choosing "Edit Polygons->Texture->Texture View". While in the texture view, you can use the standard dolly and track to navigate around. To load an image in the texture view, choose "Images->Load from Disk". Open the "shipcolor.tif". You can now see how the image is projected on the ship.
Thanks.
