View Full Version : multiple monitor toolbar problem.
lehthanis 11-10-2004, 06:42 PM I have a dual monitor setup here and I've noticed that when I maximize max on my secondary monitor, the tool graphics on the toolbar dissapear...if I move it over unmaximized, the tools are there, but they're gone if I maximize it in the secondary monitor...is that normal?

What's your hardware setup? (Motherboard, video cards, AGP, PCI, duel or single head)

Max 7 FYI
MSI K7N2DeltaILSR Mobo, AMD 3000+ Processor, 1Gb DDR400, Geforce4 ti4600 AGP.
Thanx :D
EDIT: I think it may be a directX problem, because when its on the other monitor I have problems with my perspective view too...it jumps around real bad...I'm in DirectX mode...

I had that problem too.
Then I found a little program called UltraMon.

Don't know why, but it solved it, and gave me some more options for dual monitors.
Try out the demo, then when it runs out you'll realise that it was really helping you, hehehe

I have the same problem with Max 6 and WXP Pro.
The problem disappears if I set the monitor connected to my VGA output as the primary display. I prefer to have my DVI output as my primary display so I always run Max from that side.
Seems like a driver issue or it could be just a Windows abnormality.
Hardware:
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe, Radeon 9600 Pro, 1GB DDR333, AMD 2800+
