Hey good job on the texturing and modelling. Some quick crits are the repitition of the cloth texture seems higher on the body section of the shirt as opposed to the sleeves. Also Shreks right forearm (that's waving) looks really short. Other than that it looks good.

youre textures are stretching around the sides and appear larger below the belt than in the top
you need to create a copy of the shirt, unwrap it, and apply a planar map..then use the copy as a morph target and morph it back to its original shape, and weld the verts back together
then it should be mapped correctly..

I think 1 of the hand looks longer than the other 1, maybe its beause of the angle of the shot

it doesn't matter unless he's making money off of what he copied.

GREAT JOB!

the texturing is very well done and you have really modeled him well.

I would agree with the forearm being to short, there seems to be some misporportion in the arms, and the cloth around his elbow bend seems to look wrong,

but again what a great job!
thanx for sharing!

:D

Good Job!

It's really Shrek!

the head is really well done!
For me is perfect, but the only possible critics have already said them. :)

Looking good, but not perfect.

There is something with his mouth - can't tell exactly what, but try to make his lower lips a little bigger.

The skin seems to bright (i've been comparing :)).

Also, try lowering his stomach a little (making it hanging a little on the belt).

This is a popular misconception... (one that I also believed until about a year ago). It's still copyright infringement - you're copying something that has a copyright on it! :shame:

Generally though, attention won't be brought to it unless it's making profit, since if you're making money of one of their creations - then people generally get the big book marked "Sue" out of their desk drawers. So chances are you won't get legally nailed for it - but understand that it still is copyright!

Anyway - Model looks good, something about the head makes it look more like a cartoon of Shrek (if that makes sense)

But the texture on the jacket looks good - try dirtying the texture on the shirt a bot more though, seems rather uniform at the mo. But all in all a mighty fine job! :D

Yes. It is.

'Fanart' isn't in anyway a legal term/description. It doesn't exclude you from the fact that you have copied copyrighted material.

But of course, it would be a cruel company to take an individual to court over, and it would of course take a lot of time/money.

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it (I've copied absolutely shedloads of designs...) - just don't think that you couldn't get taken to court over it (sadly).
