Hi all,

I need to model a diamond (a specific one, not just a general model). and i have no idea how to approach the texturing of it.

I know it's mostly relfection, refraction and lighting, but still, where do i begin?
btw, is there anything specific important in the modeling?

I attached a picture of the diamond itself. how do i make all the little refraction in it??

Please help!

Hi guys,

I'm getting tired of this diamond.
I messing around with it for almost 3 days, and I just cant get it right. I guess i'm doing something wrong, but i don't know what.

I have the model which I downloaded from a special site about diamond, so it's completely accurate.

I have setup the material:

I set some noise texture for the floor, and some hemisphere to surround it all. I placed only one spotlight for the beginning and this what I come up with:

I've tried to change every parameter I can I just can't get a decent look.

The diamond should look like this (on the right):

Can anyone please direct me??

Sorry, can't see any of the images. All of them return a File Not Found.

Did you follow the tutorial?
