<b>Position Summary </b>

This position is responsible for technical pre and post Discreet sales support for primarily 3ds max, and combustion sales presentations, product demonstrations, and installations; in addition, other software applications may be necessary to learn and demo. Further, this position responds to inquiries related to software application; and provides project-oriented production workflow consultation to prospective users.



<b>Responsibilities </b>

<ul><li>Provide pre-sales demonstration and technical support to Region Sales. Efforts will primarily be directed at Major Accounts and Authorized Resellers in the form of making software presentations at events such as Reseller Seminars, Major Account visits and at Trade Shows.

<li> Develop the technical content and presentation materials for the above and provide documented, scripted forms of those for Reseller use.

<li> Work with Authorized Resellers and fellow Discreet Application Engineers to strengthen their demonstration and support proficiency. This may include conducting field training events and technical briefing sessions as well as one-on-one classes for both Authorized Resellers and Major Account customers.

<li> Remain up-to-date with in-depth technical knowledge on the entire line of Discreet Animation software products.

<li> Develop a proficiency in the use of internal and external resources for solving customer problems.

<li> Act as an internal development team member, reporting back experiences and requests from your field activities in written form, and participate in all alpha and beta product cycles. </ul>



<b>Requirements </b>

<ul><li> Minimum 2-3 years experience in a computer graphics production environment.

<li> Expert in at least one area of specialty within 3D (i.e., Design/Viz, Film, Games).

<li> Working knowledge of at least one other professional 3D Animation/Effects software package.

<li> Production Gaming experience preferred.

<li> Technical competence, especially in Windows NT environment, required.

<li> Computer programming, scripting and/or traditional drawing skills a plus.

<li> Public speaking, presentation and technical writing skills (and a strong desire to develop them) are also required.

<li> Must be able to travel up to 40% plus local travel. </ul>
