Does anyone know how to implement nurb curve funtion for exporting to obj file in XSI?
Thanks.

I don't think that the .obj file is designed to carry parametric data. I know that the options exist (but are greyed out) in the export options, but I have never seen a .obj file that could carry that type of data... nor have I seen any other app with that ability.

So is there anyway I can export out a curve from XSI into MAYA??
Thanks

I don't know, if maya has an IGES importer, but you can export in XSI in IGES format for curves/surfaces.

- The obj format only supports polygons.
- You can try the dotXSI plugin for maya, get it for Maya 4.5 and 5 here:
- and Maya 6 here:
You can also try the FBX plugins:
- http://www.softimage.com/connect/xs...Connections.htm (http://www.softimage.com/connect/xsi/FreeConnections.htm)
Maya has an *.iges exporter that can be imported into XSI. I have made some experimenting with nurbs-sufaces and it works great.
