That looks pretty good, but I have a few gripes.

First - the base is not good, audio wise. That big of a base, directly planted on the floor, will pick up vibrations and send them into the equipment. So put it on some decoupling feet or something.

Second - make sure there's enough room in the middle, at the support. A lot of amplifiers (especially surround amplifiers) have speaker connectors in the middle of the unit, and that takes quite some room, believe me :)

Three - no shelfs? Could be difficult with some units. Especially when using tweaks, like decoupling feet, underneath them.

Just my audiophile $0.02 :)

thanx for the talkback.
Yes the wires go thru the pedestal.
Tha base is not a problem if you use proper feet on your speakers, althou its not hard to put some on the base.
the shelfs are ajustable and I thought about making more than one size of them to so thats really up to the user to fit in his/her equipment. The diferent sizes on the forks should work to overcome most compatibility problems or one could just put a metal plate on the fork and then the stereo/vcr/whatever on the plate.

Thanx again.

Those forks dont need to be adjustable, I recomend using Glass shelving, instead. The overall cost of manufacturing will be alot less. You design is fantastic and many audiophile would love to have something so inventive. Now you need to start thinking about how mush they will retail for, and how much production is going to cost. Really nice.

Thanks for the advice about the glass shelf. What I thought about when I made the design was that I wanted it to look like the stereo equipment was hovering in front of the piedestal but i guess you can get the same effect with glass, and if itīs cheaper then its defenetly worth an xtra thought
