Photoshop, about an hour. All mouse drawn again.
Worked ok as a test for reflctive surfaces, thought uber shiney would be amusing. One of many ideas but I got lazy and this was easy so nothing creative from me today.

I invite you to read Andrew Loomis' Drawing the head and hands available online here (http://www.fineart.sk/index.php?cat=14)
check this url (http://www.saveloomis.org) to get access to other books from him and be prepared to learn a lot :)
@Goro : I've been able to see your sketch since you posted it, so I don't know why other people can't.

My first post here. My mom, Robinayles, introduced me to this place. Great stuff here! She's been teaching me how to sketch. I sat down last night and sketched my husband.
Any crtiques would be greatly appreciated, but be nice. I'll sick my mom on you! :-)

Eye eye!
Some good stuff on here...
'Eye've never seen so many good ones, I'm glad I am a 'pupil' in the Daily Sketch school.
I had to do one or else I'd get forty 'lashes' :)
Ahem, enough of that.... here's my pic just under an hour, p/shop. Inspired by the comic "Black Orchid"
Cheers!

I want to state for the record that I am only 22 years old and have no idea who this "Kelli" person is or why she'd want to claim me as her mother! SHEESH...just look at my Avatar and tell me if you think I look old enough to have a GROWN and MARRIED daughter?...even if she does sketch fairly well for a weirdo mom-stalking artist person! hmmmph!

Welcome to the group Kelli! very nice first sketch :) The neck could use a little more definition, adam's apple etc. but...
Nice work cLos71! I do agree with art2, perhaps try an Unsharp Mask filter??
BTW: i dedicate this sketch to my great, great grandmother...coincidentally, she died because her eyes were too big...they kept falling out of her head.
note to self: shut up and draw, monger.

Hey thanks Robin! I enjoyed doing it. I don't seem to have enough time to do many sketches these days (which is a bit of a bummer seeing as I have entered the Space Opera challenge and have little time for that too...)
Incidentally, can anyone please tell me how I go about putting a link to my challenge, and more importantly, to the DSG in my signature...?

I know what you mean about time...I've been having that problem too.
As for the links in your sig...for the DSG link, I selected someone else's link and pasted it into my sig. But you can go to: User CP -> edit signature and then you can use the link icon (world with a chain) to link your text to a URL, it works sorta like how you post a pic
I hope that makes sense.

Fluffy - that is hilarious!
cLos71 - really beautiful...some other folks commented on the blurred look, but I like it, it makes her eyes and the cross stand out more clearly - I don't know if that is what you intended, but the topic is "in her eyes" and the eyes in your sketch are so beautiful..what can I say? Its just a really great job! KUDOS! I'm sure your Abuela will love it!

Yes the intention was to draw the attention of the eyes and the cross. I can still go back and clean it up a little bit. I 'd like to work on the other sketches tonight as well...if possible.
