But his mother says he's handsome... LOL Nice sketch :)
Just the thumb of his left hand is pointing too far up
Rotate it a bit down and it's perfect.
Cheers, jeroentje

Like the ork but or me the head is a bit to small.
Maybe or not. dontknow.

Nice penciling style. One thing to keep in mind whether it is real or fantasy, actually draw out the construction of the skull, then put the flesh on, as it stands the head appears to be rather jumbled and not well thought out. the rest of the body however is done really well and in proportion (relativley) to itself.

The thumb does need adjusting. I like the linework too. Pencil?, pen?, digital?:)

hey good tip Wacom....I always learn something around here, just lurking is educational. I often skip that step..duh... not anymore though.

You got the surface detail down...but the structure needs work.

I like the design of the head...cool "sausage nipples" and belly button too...

Looks really good! The first thing I noticed was the great penciling and look of the character. Although, there is one thing i don't like, and that's the thumb. Other than that, it looks great, and i would like to see more work you have done!

Thanks for the responses, I'm just starting to draw again after about a 6 year hiatus (due to 3d). The biggest conflict that I'm having right now is if I draw slowly and plan out the structure and the pose and anatomy and all that then the drawing ends up looking lifeless. If I draw really fast and sloppy (like this drawing) I usually get some life and emotion into the guy, but the proportions, perspective, and features suffer. I just noticed that I only drew three fingers on one hand and four on the other! :P And that thumb is defnitely in a wack position. He also used to have a club under that left hand but it looked like crap so I just erased it.

Sleepless: It's pencil with pen over it, and then color corrected in Photoshop.

Gandalf the Grey: Here is the last drawing I did before this one.

Very good character design in my humble opinion. It has an extremely savage look,... u can almost sense what it smells like, sounds, like, and tastes like.... ok that last one was stretching it

I totaly love the style of the piece :buttrock:

I agree about the thumb, but the rest of the piece is terrific. Definitely prefer the sketch to the colored piece, can't wait to see some more of your work
