Hotmail popper is a program that will let you access your hotmail acount through a email program. I know it works with Thunderbird, which is a great reson to get it :P, but if your not interested in that, I think it also works with outlook.

Gmail also say they may offer this service in the future, but you're right, for now they are not.

You can set up Outlook to access Hotmail and Yahoo...go to Tools--Email Accounts and use the wizard to set up a HTTP account then put in your user name and password.

yah, for yahoo, u have to input the mail servers manually... i think they are mail.yahoo.com and smtp.yahoo.com.... but a quick search through yahoo will yield more correct results. But yeah, most all free email is accessible through outlook or any other client. all u need is the incoming and outgoing email server address and ur good to go.

http://www.gnotify.com/gpopper/ - Checks Gmail via pop3
http://www.boolean.ca/hotpop/ - Check hotmail via pop3

Checking hotmail via Pop3 is going to be for paying customers only here soon.

oh dang! u serious?~! maaan..... it hasn't happened to me yet, but it was good while it lasted... *Sigh* oh well, got plenty of other email accounts to fall back on. It's just a total pain to register and change my registration info across all these websites.
