Hi.. In a jump, from the moment you leave the ground, you start decellerating.
So, if you want to jump really high, then the spring off must be very exaggerated.
In your jump, the character accellerates after he has left the ground, making it very physically incorrect.
Even cartoony animation is based on physical laws, even if they are greatly exxagerated.
Also remember that, in the air, a character moves forward at a pretty constant rate. (only slowed down by air resistance) whereas the up and down movement is a parabola.
I think fundementally it is this which is letting your jump down rather than the 'poses'

I also think that when your character lands, the height and force of his jump need to catch up with him. Right now he just lands and goes immediately into the "crawling" position. You need to feel force/weight in the landing. Keep working!

it's all pretty much covered above, but the other thing, is that it's going to be really hard to sell this jump even with great anticipation, simply because it's just a super-human height/distance.
you may find it much easier for him to get a running start into this thing, and build the anticipation during the run up.
