Guys help me on choosing a good fast printer.

Im looking at CANON PIXMA IP8500 and I9900 but other printers will do aswell.

The main reason i need a good printer is because im always printing images and catalogs for my company and i need them to print fast. I currently have the EPSON C84 its ok but its too slow when printing images and sometimes the inks runs and its blurry.

My specs: Win XP 512MB DDR and i print using Photoshop CS.

Please guys help me out i mean it took my 3 hours to print 30 pages of a catalog and the images resolution was 200 dpi i mean come on 3 hours, thats too long.

Although your price range is probably going to be higher than this, as you are printing commercially, this might help you see some of the differences between manufacturers, what technologies they use, and it will give you an indication of what the marked speeds are vs. actual speeds. While I've never really been a fan of Canon, they still make very economical printers, and they won't annihilate you on the cartridges. Although I'm not very sure on this (someone correct me if I'm wrong), the higher startup price of a color laser printer may be worth it in the end, as you are printing bulk amounts of photos. However, I'm not entirely sure on what you have to pay for great quality photos from a laser printer... I imagine it's not cheap at first. Good luck!
