Hi,
I have a pano shot ( qtvr in nature ), and I'd like to use it as an HDR image for lighting. I'm not too sure on what mapping method to use on the half sphere. Any ideas? I'm using Maya 6

Thanks in advance
Peter

First of all you need to make sure that it is a High Dynamic Range Image. From what you are implying, the image you did is simply a panoramic image but was not captured at multiple exposures. If this is the case, it will not really work. Can you give use more information on where the image came from and how it was made?

Thanks for the reply. :)

We shot multiple exposures here in the studio. Now I have a panos that I need to use as the HDR map.

Basicly we shot the room with no product as a pano.

I do have a program that will take all the exposures and spit out the HDR image, but I'm not too sure on how to map the long pano image onto the sphere. Any ideas?

Thanks again
Peter
