Quick sketch, that maybe wasn't so quick at all. I will go back to it and refine it, a few things I have to give seperate drawings to. And those will be coming.

This was not done in perspective. Therefore I'm thinking that when I go to layout everything there will be slight differences for the final composition.

Ofcourse I still have to get some feedback and the concept will evolve with a little luck.

Really nice "First draft". Waiting for the story. Good luck!

Hey whats up man

The composition is starting to shape up, I think a few possible adjustments I would make would be the following.

1. Attempt an even wider wide screen to your overall canvas, this will open up the middle space a bit more to relieve the cramp'd feeling, and allow the viewer to see some more of your distant environment work.

2. With the widening, shift your mysterious character more to the right, and possibly crop him harder and increase his size. This gives the viewer a feeling of being within arm's length of the character and draws the viewer into your narrative. So maybe cut him off at the waist, and expand him as such.

3. Add a few foreground elements. Maybe a gust of steam, a worker droid, hanging cables,
obligatory video game boxes and cylinders, etc.. etc..

Great first pass though, I'm sure its going through many more dramatic changes as time goes on. I'll make sure I'll drop you a message when I get my thread goin.

Good Luck!

I agree with the dude above me. You need more space. This is the SPACE opera contest. Not the closed quarters cluttered composition contest.

A better composition, something that I agree with a lot more. A little more open and a little more depth.

There are a few details that have to be taken care of. Which will be coming, the ship has to go through a little work. And the characters pose, which isn't a problem, I will just deal with that foreground element a little later.

The concept is coming along nicely. I'm not sure what I am looking at frame left, but I know that the 3D set will clear up the perspective issues of the drawing.

Thanks Daniel, it just seems that the more I put into it for 2d detail the more it becomes less descernable. Thanks for noting it, I have a brief story that I just have to improve upon, and it will something that I have to post soon in order for people to get the idea of what I am trying to say in this picture.

I am working on the proxy right now, other things have been side tracking me for a bit, I think I have the overall picture down, I just need to go in and draw the detailed pieces now.

Just trying to organize myself a little better.
