Latest Update: Concept Sketch: a new concept - a new sketch

after i noticed my first concept won't work i came up with that one. my pic will show the first of a series of large battleships built for representation and protection of the main trade routes in last preparations for the first patrol mission.

so much for the concept sketch milestone i'm not good at sketching, as you can see. that warbeast on the left came out a little to cute, and proportions suck, but it shows what i've in mind. it's a typical invasion scene with a more archaic style.

hello there. i wish good luck and much fun to all of you.

a little more information:

as you can (hopefully) see, i'm planning an invasion scene. i think i'll call it "the fall of l'tampur" or the like. i don't think i'll do the dropships the like they can be seen here, was just an early idea. i'll also do that warbeast more mammal-like, not so much dinosaur. the main event happens in the foreground, i left the background out for now, and i wanna have the watcher close to what's happening, so cameras position will be rather low.

the black scribbeled guys in front are humans. i wanted a more archaic style, a bit like WW1, so i brought in the trench you can see in front. the other guys with the flags at their backs will be of an alien species. more to come.

i welcome any suggestions.

the tank in an early stage of modelling. much detail will have to be added.

added some stuff such as tracks. some more greebling to do though.

Go easy on yourself man, concept sketch was pretty good I think.

My first suggestion would be to work on the details for your war beast. From the sketch it looks really big, maybe you could make it look more intimidating and fearsome?

Cheers

i already posted further information, but somehow they got lost. sad thing. so once again:

first of all i'd like to wish all the best to the other participants. have fun and good luck.

i added tracks to the tank via path deform. they don't fit absolutely correct, but it'll do...maybe some minor tweaking maybe reguired. as you may remember i wanted a more archaic style, a bit like ww1, so i made those tracks running round the whole tank, like the designs from early 20th century, although this might not be to practical, cause it makes the tracks more vulnerabel. so it's form over function for this time. who cares?

suggestions are welcome.

thanks, adel3d & keetmun.

will be a bit busy next days, hope to get some work done at weekend. if anyone's interested, i will surely not do that triangular landing-ships you can see in the back. i will do landing ships, but not those. was an early idea.
i think about a greater mass of smaller ships, but first i'll have to examine what my machine can do - won't be too much i fear.

maybe doing the stuff in several layers will help me out - gonna think about it.

suggestions still welcome.
