Does anyone know how to use the alpha channel with mental ray?
I'm using a SSS shader and in my render there 's no aplha...

Try using the option |Render Globals> Custom Entities> Pass Surface Color Alpha Channel> true| which is more a workaround since there wont be any alpha from transparencies.
Or are you looking for texture alpha?
