Hi, okay I dont usually post my models because they are crap compared to 90 percent of the guys on here, but I have almost finished my first proper working model, and am up to animating and something horrible happens to my textures when he moves?!

Here is the texture, his clothes, the army camo and his vest, basic noise procedural map and marble procedural for the camo. Its fine on a stillshot render but when I did like a basic footstep animation it all goes nuts, like as though the seed of the procedural textures was animated...

A pic of his clothes

And heres a 2 meg avi of what happens

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

its because your procedural map is probably using the worlds XYZ as its coordinate space. In the material editor under the procedual noises settings you should find a dropdown box for co-ordinates. Change this from 'XYZ' to 'Explicit map channel' & it will lock the procedural onto the surface much like a bitmap is, using the UVW co-ordinates of the object.. :)

ANd dont forget Chris, for this to work you have to also add a UVW Mapping Mod with "XYZ to UVW" checked. then make sure that this mapping channel corrosponds to the "explict Mapping" number:thumbsup:
