This looks pretty good. It's hard to tell how the fx are in that low rez crappy window though....

Why do they keep calling this Battlestar Galactica?

It has nothing to do with the Battlestar Galactica, aside from the similarity in names....

Nice. I can't wait for the series. The mini-series movie was pretty good - even if it didn't resemble the original that much - cuz honestly I was too young to remember too much about the original.

The new series is excellent, even better than the mini-series. It is a fresh breath of air compared to some of the tired sci-fi formulas we have seen. The episodes have good stories and the effects are good too.

I used to enjoy the original version when I was a kid, but it doesn't stand up well now when you watch it. Fun nostagia though, but I am pleased they re-imagined it now, even though I was against it originally.

I just watched ep3.
It is my favourite series after Lost right now.

Great stuff!!!

Enterprise is losing grounds and getting worse. Too bad it was great last season.

I need to ask... how do you know this? Do you work for the company that makes it? I thought it comes out in January.

I hope your right.

Anybody out there wanna refreshe me as to the Lorne Greene version's plot was? After 700 years of war between the Colonial Worlds and the Cylons, the Cylons tell the humans that they want forge a peace treaty with the Colonial Worlds. On the day the peace treaty is supposed to be signed, the Cylons use this opportunity to launch a suprise attack on the Colonial Worlds, wiping almost everybody out including 11 out of the 12 battlestars in the fleet. The last surviving battlestar leads a rag-tag fleet of the survivors to the legendary lost 13th colony, Earth.

The Twelve Colonial worlds apparently were colonized by the decendents of people from a world in another solar system called Kobol.

The Galactica arrives at Kobol in a later episode, finding it deserted, if I remember correctly.

The mini-series FX were done by Zoic as well as a good chunk of the episodes. I did some work on the episodes in Vancouver, where the overflow work is being done. Zoic's stuff is pretty damn cool. I thought that even their stuff on Firefly was a good notch above average. The Firefly movie should be pretty neat. I really dug that show.
They've set out a pretty cool style for space fights in Battlestar. Whether the story is at all good...I dunno.
