WOW! Is this done with the default scanline renderer (Non MAX5 Lighttracer or Radiosity)?

very nice lightning there!
but, put something in the hallway, so we can see how the light reacts to objects that are in the hall.
cheers!

Why does this remind me so much of a Lara Croft videogame level?!

I love it. Don't change a thing.
I think this is a good example for people who are obsessed with global illumination and fancy rendering plugins. It's all about talent.

I bow to the light master.
I can't believe you did that with max default scanline.
Great lighting and texturing.

thank you all..yes.I believe you can do everything with simple omnies and spots..I attached a sample..I did this 1 year ago..very simple white objects..There are only omnies..very short rendering time..Yes I love playing with lights :) thank you again.
I like the scene very much...
I don't really understand when lightning is great...I can't see it myself when I light my scene or models I don't know if it is good or not....is there a VERY good tutorial around cause I could use one lightning is an important part of your model.
THANKS

u seem to have great feeling for very good lighting! there are some small things that make the scene look a bit cg. i think the lighting is perfect for that scene, so its nearly all about the materials. i know it is a lighting exercise, but making the textures (a bit) dirty and changing the materials of the door and the logos at the sides could push it to an even higher level! ;) the top lights somehow seem not to be attached to the ceiling..
great job - the only faults i see are anywhere but not in the lighting

Now this really looks great! :)
How many lights did you use?..
I guess minimum 30.
Yeah... You just prove that the scanline renderer is the one that renders pics according to the artist's skill rather than the comp's speed.... And I can see you're highly skilled in Lighting. :)
What are those fancy renders needed anyways? They don't make you more skilled - they make you lazzy...

Fantastic! I'm so glad that someone finaly showing off what good non-GI lighting can do. I'm so tired of seeing GI and this is great to see a nice work with REAL lighting.

thank you again...I belive the softwares are not too important..An artist can catch the soul of art with a pencil or with an AMD :)
In this scene ; there are 32 omnies , some maps for fake lightings, catmull-rom filtering..If I can arrange a website for my self I'll try some tutorials..thanks :bounce:
note:sorry for my non-perfect english :D

Very nice indeed.... how do you get the soft shadows using so many lights? I try stuff, and I get shadows sooting around all over the place...... but hey, I'm still learning
