View Full Version : metaball problem in r9

I've never used metaballs a lot, so probably it's me, but I noticed that when I place a sphere in an emitter and the emitter in a metaball (and adjust the settings of course), I get a different result in the picture viewer and the active view. (r9).
I find this bizarre. It's like as if the picture viewer gives another frame than the active view, and usually one on which there is as good as nothing to see.
I did set both editor and render subdivision to 5.

Solved it with "current state to object".
But it still strikes me as odd...

You may have the emitter set to emit different amounts of particles in the editor and when rendering. These would need to be the same value or the metaball will look different in the editor compared to when rendered.
