Mankind finally did it: They´ve blown themselves from planet earth. The engineering of a super engine was a big success, the machine worked fine and the 50000 persons (workers, engineers, families) on the huge dockyard floating in earth´s orbit were about to leave for a 20 year testdrive. it had been the first time to perform a full start of the engine that utilised a unknown relationship between its core and the huge black hole in the center of our milky-way.
shortly before that unfortunate start a big conflict arose. poor countries criticised the lack of proper representation for a possible encounter with alien civilisations while the richer ones said that those who pay would be in command. religious groups feared gods wrath, nature activists warned that it wouldn´t be a safe technology and hundreds of thousands just wanted to join the travellers. tv shows staged contests and its winners recieved a place aboard the ship.
the day of departure had come accompanied by a worldwide war, while inveterable citicens still believed in a mission of peace and harmony. the big departure show got started. the contest winner hit a neat red button and after some bzzzzz the show was over. a senseless war, senseless enineering, what a waste of time.
darkness. no stars, no moon, no light, no earth, no nothing.
boooooooooooom.
the stars, the moon, some light, the moon. err... yeah, a big moon, a small moon. earth has turned in a piece of rubish.
after years of tears and sadness (man, mankind has been reduced to about 50000)the engineers have installed a green button besides the red one. eventually a pair of lovers couldn´t behave like ladys and gentlemen should, they hit the button accidentaly. another bzzzzzz.
well, after 42 years the travel ended near ´land in sight´. an earth like planet. they pushed a blue button to stop the engine. bzzzzz.
i guess they didn´t want man at their planet.
well, i´m unsure which part of my silly story could end up in a picture. any thoughts from you?

Welcome :)
Sketch's cool... I'd go with the moment they discover Earth is gone to smithereens.
I'll keep myself updated.
Stefano.
well, i intented the picture to show the very moment of being attacked by that newly found planet ´land in sight´.
the scetch could also show the moment of devastation of earth. the energy beam catastrophy should then originate from the engine on the right.
i´m thinking of another scene that gives a better feeling about the immense size of the ship that´s called ´gogetit´.
do you like the story concept?

heres my new pov. i wanted to have a closer view of the ´gogetit´. i´m also thinking of workers who repair something.

I think that alians should have some greater weapons like one energy beam maybe much more greater weapon maybe in construction
Exciting what comes next
hm, good idea. i´ll rethink the way the native people attack the ´gogetit´.

that´s the huge vessel. power-source on the very tip (right). it is extremely hot that´s why the greenhouse tubes are close to it.
well, just scetches.

now i will begin with the ship. the big sword contains cabins, cinema, theatre, a whole city.

Hi
Yes, I liked the story. Lots of moments to capture, so it's a good one. I will stay around to see what you will chose.
Nice ship too. What are you using to model it?
Greetz.
