Hello there folks.

Animating a nurbs fish created in Maya. I have attached several clusters to cv's on the nurbs surface in maya. Then i grouped all clusters into a group called clusters and parented it under the reference node.

It works like a charm to take it into motionbuilder and to work with it there. But when I import the FBX in Maya after the animation is done i get some weird double transformation on the clusters. Have tested some diffrent approaches but can't get a hang of it. Anyone has a solution to this or information about the problem...?

Update: When choosing as import option "import into new scene" some new funny behaviors occur. The fish has splitt in half along the nurbs seam and only one half is animated. But the clusters seems to be better aligned. But still... Need help!

Hmm... To bad no ones have a solution. Had to to a verry tideous workaround. Anyways... I do know whats causing the problem but I do not have a solution. When importing the fbx back into Maya the pivot of all clusters are set to origo. So the clusters that has been rotated in Motionbuilder gets reeeeeally messed up. It does not help to set the pivot to the center of the cluster once it is imported.

A solution is still wanted.

Hi man
try import only animation to your Maya model, dont import overal model from MBuilder, and all will works :)
