dmcgrath 08-21-2002, 07:15 AM This is an oil painting i did, about 3 hours. It was a still-life, but with the placement of the objects, I was able to get a story going.

Not bad, the background seems a bit bland, but it does convey a sense of story

Your right about the bkg, but, hey Im happy that I can paint with oils.

Thanks Moshi, in answer to your question, not too long, I took a class where we could use oil or acrylic, and I found that I really like the workability of oil paints. I have done a couple paintings now and am really happy with the results. I will post another here, but its too big to scan, so Ill have to take a pic and then scan the pic. Look for it soon.

very playful indeed... my mother loves work such as this, but for myself, i am more atuned to the abstract or strange.
