Hey I'm Derek, I'm 13, and I've been looking to improve my 2d skills before I go deeper into 3d. I was hoping some of you would know of some good sites that have helped you draw better, with tutorials, or something. Thank you.
Cheers  ,
Derek

hey man, try looking over at www.conceptart.org, they're an excellent resource and if you cant find what you need in the main sites, the forums have everything you could possibly need. they're nice guys too.

"How to draw superheros the marvel way by stan lee". Another good reference book is "Dynamic Figure Drawing" by Burne Hogarth, both these books can be picked up for under $20. They are definite books to have in your collection and will allow you to get a good idea of proportions of the human before you attempt to start creating you own imaginations :) Hope this helps.

Never been that keen on Hogarth personally. His figures look odd.

Check out out Loomis though, it's all the rage at the moment, really good stuff. You can find it here (http://www.fineart.sk/page_01.htm)

yeah, i agree on hogarth, hes a bit of a contortionist. IAnatomywise, I like to look at frazettas early work, that's really fairly accurate stuff. and rockwells sketches too. Rockwell is criticised way too much.
